We bought the pub from Andrew's parents David and Joyce who had bought the pub in 1981 and transformed it from a old fashioned backstreet pub into a great community hub.  They were one of the first pubs in Worksop to introduce food and gained a great reputation for good quality, homecooked food which we have maintained and extended over the years.

It has a cosy, friendly feel and as well as great food, has an extensive choice of wines, beers and spirits.  We also have a rotating cask ale selection headed by the excellent

Worksop based Welbeck Brewery.

There is always lots going on.  Thursday is a great night starting off with Steak Night which offers 2 -  8oz steaks for £16.   At 9pm we have a fun packed quiz night incorporating  a music round, rock and roll bingo,

a general knowledge round  AND  play your cards right.

We regularly hold special nights.   Tapas night,  bingo night, themed food nights and themed disco nights are all popular.

We cater for different functions such as wedding, christenings, birthday parties and anniversaries.

We also do funeral teas.

We have a football team, a pool team, we support and provide teas for four Worksop Ladies hockey teams and have a quiz team, darts team and dominoes team.

All these groups use the pub throughout the week on different days.
